This one-of-a-kind porcelain vase was wheel thown and altered. The decorative hand-painted pattern was inspired by a 1930's Austrian textile designer, Josef Frank. All of the surfaces are fired with a clear glaze, It is advisable to wash by hand. See "CARE FOR THE CERAMICS."

CARE FOR THE CERAMICS: Though the porcelain work is dishwasher safe, I recommend hand washing since handmade pottery is inherently less durable than industrial or commercial ceramics.

UNDERGLAZE TRANSFERS (DECALS) AND LUSTERS:

I use decals and lusters on some of my work. If you purchase these works, avoid washing porcelain work with decals in the dishwasher-- the soap will wear down the color of the decal surfaces. And because shiny silver and gold luster is metallic, do not use in the microwave and avoid the dishwasher because the soap will eventually etch and destroy the luster.
