Blue Bowl with Chinese Decal Floral Patterns

This porcelain bowl is brushed with blue slip (a liquid porcelain clay with blue stain) before the first bisque firing. The hand cut Chinese decals are applied next, and are hand-painted with underglaze before being sprayed with a clear glaze on the interior and exterior of the bowl. It will be a fantastic serving piece for grains, vegetables, fruit, or salad -- or just enjoy it's decorative qualities! It is advised to wash this piece by hand as dishwasher soap is harsh on the decal surface over time.
